Within five minutes of arriving at a former cosmetics factory in Hackensack, New Jersey, Friday evening firefighters escalated the emergency to a three-alarm blaze.

“First arriving company reported fire out the windows on the bravo side of the building,” a post to the Hackensack Fire Department Facebook account states. “All Hackensack companies went to work attacking the fire and ventilating the building.”

Other department responding to the scene include Bogota, Teaneck, Ridgefield Park and the Bergen County fire coordinators.

Local press reports that fire operations were hindered by high winds. At one point, part of the roof collapsed.

“Fire was brought under control within 1 hours,” the Facebook account states. “Companies remained on scene for extensive overhaul.”

The fire does not appear suspicious and no injuries were reported.
