Production Continues at South Korean Computer Chip Plant

A Sunday night fire in a wastewater treatment facility serving a Samsung semiconductor plant in South Korea has not affected production at that site, a company spokesperson reports.

Firefighters dealt with the emergency at the company’s Hwaseong plant in northwestern South Korea within two and a half hours. The wastewater operation is automated and no injuries were reported.
