Emergency personnel evacuated a daycare center Tuesday morning in Keystone Heights, Florida, when a tanker truck rolled on its side spilling nearly 1,000 gallons of gasoline.

The tanker driver, trying to avoid a car in a separate collision, lost control and turned on its side at the State Road 21 intersection near the Child’s Garden Daycare, WJAX-TV reports. The tanker carried almost 7,300 gallons of gasoline.

The children were evacuated to the nearest fire station and later moved to an elementary school for their parents to collect. Meanwhile, State Road 21 remained closed during clean-up of the spill.

Charges are pending in the collision that triggered the tanker accident, state troopers said.
