A machine fire at a textile factory Thursday afternoon in Kirschau, Germany, sent one worker to the hospital with suspected smoke inhalation.

The Facebook page for the Kirschau-Rodewitz Fire Brigade reports that firefighters were dispatched to the factory at about 5:43 p.m. and entered the building wearing breathing apparatus. The fire had broken out in equipment used to cut fabric.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control within an hour, turning the scene over to firefighters from Sohland-Spree for overhaul and conducting a fire watch. Police estimated the damage at about 2,000 euros.

A fire investigator is expected to inspect the scene Friday.
