Flames totaled a combination café and coffee roasting plant Tuesday afternoon in north Denver, Colorado, the Adams County Fire Rescue Facebook page states.

Workers had safely evacuated the Boyer’s Coffee building before firefighters arrived. Seeing only light smoke, the firefighters entered the rear of the building to check. Quickly changing conditions forced the firefighters to withdraw and switch into a defensive strategy.

Unfortunately, the fire continued to escalate to the point that the building was a total loss, the Facebook page reports.

Firefighters from Westminster, Thornton and South Adams County assisted at the scene.

Denver-based Boyer’s Coffee is sold at more than 1,300 stores, including Walmart, according to Entrepreneur magazine.

No injuries were reported in the fire.
