Flames destroyed nearly 3,000 square meters of roofing covering a warehouse complex in Givors, France, Sunday night, the local Departmental Fire and Rescue Service reports via Facebook.
Firefighters were able to save the remainder of the 36,000-square-meter complex, including a neighboring warehouse measuring 4,000 square meters.
Fire had already spread through much of the damaged structure before SDIS 69 responders arrived about 7:30 p.m. Nearly 60 firefighters operating 30 vehicles and two ladders battled the blaze until it was brought under control after 11 p.m.
Firefighters continued to monitor the scene until Monday morning in case the fire rekindled.
