Flames levelled a 6,000-square-meter pork packing plant within an hour Wednesday afternoon in Feuchy, France, the fire brigade Facebook page states.
At about 6 p.m. flames swept through the Porketto factory in the city’s Artoipole neighborhood. Workers safety evacuated the building before firefighters arrived.
Plant management told reporters that the fire broke out in the engine room.
The plants, which has operated locally since 2014, specialized in piglet and suckling pig meat.
