Surveillance video posted to Twitter apparently shows an arsonist torching trucks Wednesday night at a Dutch poultry plant who accidentally ignited themselves in the process.

The video, posted to EenEen Tweets, a site catering to public safety employees, shows a person pouring liquid from a container between two parked trucks. The person then sets fire to a piece of paper that is dropped onto the liquid.

When nothing immediately happens, the person leans over to adjust the burning paper. A sudden eruption of fire engulfs the arsonist who, now blazing, runs away from the scene.

The resulting fire consumed five vehicles loaded with plastic crates parked outside Tomassen Duck-To in Ermelo, The Netherlands, HLN News reports. Officially, safety authorities list the cause of the fire as unknown. However, a spokesperson for the poultry plant revealed the video of the arson attack.

According to company director Gertjan Tomassen, keys found near the scene fit a car parked nearby registered to a Belgium animal rights activist.

“Animal activists sometimes go a step too far,” Tomassen told HLN News.
