A warehouse at a food processing plant burned Sunday in northeastern Iran, Mashhad Municipality Fire and Safety Services reports.
Firefighters in Golbahar and Mashhad joined forces to control the fire in the industrial town of Ferdowsi, 30 kilometers from Mashhad, fire spokesman Amir Azizi said.
“In coordination with relevant officials, firefighters from stations 36 and 50, along with several heavy firefighting vehicles, arrived at the scene,” he said.
The fire, which broke out in a 200-square-meter warehouse where the plant’s waste, was quickly controlled before the fire could spread to any production lines.
“Firefighters are currently spotting and exploring the site of the blaze, and the exact cause of the fire is being investigated by relevant experts,” Azizi said.
No casualties were reported.
