Dominican diaper maker reports factory fire Saturday.

Flames swept through three buildings at the Disasa Dominicana SRL diaper factory Saturday night in Tamboril, Dominican Republic.

Near midnight fire broke out at the first of three buildings involved and burned well into Sunday afternoon, the newspaper Diario Libre reports. Firefighters from across the province, including the communities of Licey al Medio and Santiago de los Caballeros responded.

Damages were estimated at nearly RD$500 million Dominican pesos, or about $89,000 U.S. No casualties were reported.
