Smoke engulfs a mattress factory Monday in India.

Fire extensively damaged a four-story mattress factory Monday morning in a planned industrial city near Delhi, India, local media report.

About 2 a.m., first flames broke out at the Radiant Cushion factory in Noida, Republic TV reports. Thick smoke still billowed from the structure at daybreak hours later.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Noida is an acronym for New Okhla Industrial Development Authority, administrators of the special economic zone set up northwest of Delhi in the Uttar Pradesh state.
