Lightning Suspected Cause of Italian Textile Factory Fire

Lightning is suspected as the cause of a fire at a textile factory Monday afternoon in San Giusto, Italy.

At about 1:30 p.m., a passing thunderstorm triggered a power outage in the same neighborhood as the plant. At the same time, fire broke out on the first floor of the textile plant.

Two local fire crews were dispatched with an additional crew from Florence sent as backup.
