Sawdust ignited in the duct work at a plant making wood pellets for fuel Sunday afternoon in Kenbridge, Virginia.

The fire at the Lignetics plant burned nearly six hours, the Kenbridge-Victoria Dispatch reports. Most of the damage was confined to the duct work, leaving the building structurally sound.

Twelve fire trucks from Kenbridge, Victoria and South Hill fire departments responded to a mutual aid request.

Lignetics, founded in 1938, is one of the leading producers manufacturing premium wood pellets and compressed wood fire logs for home heating.
