Flames gutted a century-old factory building Thursday morning in Springfield, Ohio.
At about 1 a.m., firefighters arrived to find S and D Pallets engulfed in flames. The building is more commonly known locally as Hoppes Manufacturing.
High winds fanned the flames, making it difficult for firefighters to gain an advantage. Collapsing walls and roof made it a particularly dangerous fire operation, the Dayton Daily News reports.
Firefighters are expected to be on the scene long into the afternoon, authorities said.
