Firefighters fought 14 hours to bring a high-rise factory fire under control Thursday morning in Karachi, Pakistan.

At about 6 a.m., authorities dispatched firefighters to the city’s Sindh Industrial Trading Estate (SITE) in southern Karachi. The initial response was eight fire tenders and a snorkel, but this was later increased by five more tenders obtained from the Karachi Port Trust and the Pakistan Navy, The International News reports.

Huge clouds of smoke were visible from the distant corners of the city. Firefighters reported that the fire initially broke out somewhere on the sixth or seventh floor of the building.

No loss of life was reported.
