A factory making disposable sanitary products went up in flames Wednesday in India’s Gujarat state, the Indian Fire Service reports.

Twenty-four fire tenders responded to the burning factory located in an industrial park in the Sanand area of Ahmedabad, fire authorities state. The facility is a subsidiary of Japan’s Unicharm Corp.

About 125 emergency personnel are on the scene, authorities said.

With extensive damage to machinery, inventory and buildings reported, authorities said the fire has been brought under control but complete extinguishment may take eight hours more.

No injuries were reported.
