Weekend Chemical Plant Fire Reported in Northern India

A massive chemical plant fire broke out Sunday morning in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh state, local media reports.

Heavy smoke was seen rising from the factory in the Pandav Nagar area of Ghaziabad shortly before 2 p.m. More than 10 fire trucks were dispatched to the scene, NDTV reports.

No information on casualties or cause of the fire were immediately available.
