Fire broke out at Takai Carbon in Ashikita, Japan, during heavy flooding Saturday.

Fire has broken out at the Tokai Carbon Tanoura Plant in Ashikita, Japan, Saturday in the midst of heavy flooding in the southern part of Kumamoto Prefecture.

Aerial video posted by ANN News shows smoke rising from the flooded fine carbon manufacturing complex located on the southwest coast of Kyushu Island in southern Japan. Ashikita is located in Japan’s Kumamoto Prefecture.

Prefecture officials say at least 13 people have been reported missing in the prefecture since 10 a.m. Saturday, NHK World reports.

Landslides swept away several houses in Tagawa district in Ashikita, with 10 people reported missing.

Heavy rains in the Kumamoto and Kagoshima prefectures should ease in the afternoon. However, heavy flooding is expect to continue to cause problems.
