UAE Lumber Mill Fire Sends Smoke Across Dubai Skyline

Firefighters battled a fire Monday afternoon at a lumber mill in the UAE’s most populous city, Dubai.

At about 2:30 p.m. the fire broke out in the Umm Al Rumool area of Dubai, Gulf News reports. Fire teams were dispatched from Al Rashidiya, Al Qusais, Port Saeed and Ned Al Shiba, a spokesperson for Dubai Civil Defence reports.

Thick smoke from the fire was visible across the Dubai skyline, video shows.
