Two massive explosions Wednesday night at a fireworks factory in southwest China left six people injured, two seriously, local media report.
At 9:10 p.m., two guards reported a fire at the production area at Jinyan fireworks factory in the city of Guanghan. As workers evacuated the building the first explosion occurred, causing the reported injuries.
A second explosion soon followed. Ten fire units were dispatched but the risk of further explosions kept them at least 500 meters from the scene.
By 3 a.m., the fire was brought under control.
