Fire broke out at a French factory site Thursday morning during work to dismantle some cooling towers, France Bleu reports.
Although it raised considerable smoke and some concern about pollution, the fire at the Vetrotex site in Chambéry was relatively small and did little damage, the newspaper reports.
An area of about 30 square meters consisting of plastic and polyester was involved. Twenty firefighters responded to the scene and had the fire out within 30 minutes.
Firefighters from Chambéry, La Motte-Servolex and Aix-les-Bains formed a mutual aid response to the fire.
