Blast rips through sewage plant Saturday in Fuxin, China.

An explosion Saturday night at a sewage treatment plant in northeast China injured 17 people, local media report.
At about 8:40 p.m. an explosion ripped through the plant in Fuxin in Liaoning Province. Beside damage to the plant, the blast rocked nearby workshops and residential homes.
The injuries were described as slight. The cause of the blast is under investigation.
