Flames swept through material stored outdoors at a recycling plant Sunday morning near Johannesburg, South Africa, local media report.
At about 9:12 a.m. fire broke out at Esiltuli Transport Logistics and Recycling in Boksburg. Firefighters arrived to find recycled materials such as paper and plastic ablaze outside the plant building.
Response from an additional four fire stations was immediately requested, News 24 reports.
Thirty emergency personnel working together were able to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby structures. No injuries were reported and the cause remains under investigation.
