Flames tore through the roof of a steel door plant in England’s West Midlands shortly before midnight Monday, local media report.
Aerial photos show that at least 25% of the roof above the Dove Steel Door factory in Dudley collapsed during the fire.
“The first of our crews was at the scene in under five minutes and we had a total of seven fire engines, a hydraulic platform and some 40 firefighters,” the West Midlands Fire Service told the Express & Star.
By 5:15 a.m. firefighters were able to scale back its response to one fire engine at the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
