Lanarkshire Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following an arson incident Saturday morning at an industrial estate in Blantyre, Scotland, that involved six vehicles for moving heavy goods.

“This deliberate fire was a reckless act and we are asking for the public’s help to trace those responsible,” Detective Constable Paul Mooney of Lanarkshire CID said.

Sometime between 12:35 a.m. and 1:50 a.m., six vehicles ranging from semi-trailer trucks to vehicles for moving heavy equipment were deliberately set on fire, police said. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the fire with no injuries.

“Although this happened in the early hours of the morning I would ask if anyone noticed anyone acting suspicious in the area or has information that could assist with our investigation to get in contact with us,” Mooney said.
