An explosion Thursday evening at a power substation in Spain’s Andalusia region mortally injured a contract worker, Emergencias Sevilla reports.
At about 6:15 p.m., an explosion rocked the Endesa power substation in Seville, capital of the region. Responders found in person injured laying in the middle of a street outside the substation.
The explosion resulted in a widespread power outage throughout the South Polygon area.
The worker later died at the Virgen del Rocio Hospital. No further information has been released regarding the accident.
