Five firefighters required treatment for heat exposure after battling a fire at a southeastern Michigan chemical plant Wednesday afternoon.
An explosion rocked the neighborhood near the R.J. Marshal Company in Rockwood shortly before 2 p.m., local media report. Firefighters arrived to find fire breaking out at the rear of the plant.
Authorities issued a shelter-in-place order for the surrounding area.
Other than the stricken firefighters, no injuries were reported.
