Drums of chemicals exploded inside a burning varnish factory Monday afternoon in northern Spain, local media report.
Firefighters in the city of Logrono brought the fire under control in about two and a half hours. Damage to the factory is reported to be extensive.
Smoke could be seen from several kilometers away when firefighters arrived at about 2:15 p.m. Fortunately, the factory was empty at the time and no injuries were reported.
