Flames raced through packaged inventory Monday afternoon at a confectionary factory in central-western Morocco, local media report.
At about 3:30 p.m., the fire broke out at the Casablanca factory in cardboard boxes already packed with candy. Workers evacuated the building without injury.
Nearly 80 firefighters using six fire trucks were able to contain and extinguish the fire after more than five hours. The cause remains unknown.
