A boiler explosion at a distillery in south-eastern India Thursday killed one worker and injured two others, local media report.

The blast marked the second fatal emergency at SPY Agro Industries in Nandyal within the last 10 days.

According to media accounts, the explosion involved a leaking pipe in the boiler’s heater. The three workers were rushed to a government hospital for treatment where one died and the others were later released.

On June 27, an ammonia leak at the plant killed the general manager and injured three others.
