A driver of a fuel truck died at the wheel when the vehicle overturned and burst into flames Wednesday morning in Richardson, Texas.

Shortly before 10 a.m., Richardson Police responded to a crash in the 2700 block of North Central Expressway. The fuel truck was southbound when it crashed through the concrete center divider, crossing into the northbound lanes.

The fuel truck overturned and caught fire, police said. The driver was identified as Colten Everett King, 28, of Weatherford, Texas.

The hazmat spill and repairs to the center median were expected to impact traffic in both directions for several hours.

No other vehicles were involved. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
