Smoke rises from a plastic injection molding factory in southeast England Thursday.

Explosions were heard after fire broke out at a plastic injection molding factory in Thursday morning in southeast England, local media report.

At about 9:45 a.m., the fire was reported at Hatchers Components, located on Parham Airfield, near Framlingham, Suffolk. Billowing black smoke was visible for miles.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service dispatched nearly 50 firefighters to the scene. The fire has been declared a hazardous materials emergency and nearby residents asked to shelter-in-place.

No injuries have been reported.
