Flames gut a woodworking factory Saturday in Pesochny, Russia.

Flames levelled more than 2,000 square meters of production space Saturday at a Russian woodworking plant in about two hours, local media report.

Shortly before 8 p.m., the fire broke out in the Kurortny district of Pesochny, located on the northern shore of the Gulf of Finland. The Ministry of Emergency Situations involved 23 pieces of equipment and 92 personnel to eliminate the fire.

As the fire spread through the building its roof collapsed. The fire was under control withing the first hour of the emergency, local media report.

No injuries were reported.
