A three-alarm fire at a salvage yard dominated the sky above New Zealand’s North Island Tuesday, local media report.

Shortly before noon, firefighters were called to a blaze in the city of Palmerston North. At one point, a giant fireball tore through the roof of a 50-meter by 50-meter corrugated iron shed burning at the location.

Meanwhile, fuel canisters and LPG cylinders kept in the shed erupted throughout the emergency. The structure eventually collapsed.

Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in about two hours. The only casualty reported moderate injuries.
