Flames consume a lubricant plant in India.

A nine-hour fire destroyed a lubricant manufacturing plant in northern India and required a massive mutual aid response Saturday.

At about 3:30 p.m. fire broke out at the Resolve Petro Products facility in Bahadurgarh, Haryana. Local firefighter were joined by colleagues from Jhaijar, Rohtak, Sonepat, and Gurugtam, local media report.

At the height of the fire nearly 40 firefighters staffing 13 emergency vehicles fought the blaze. A fire officer directing operations was injured in a fall and required first aid.

The fire also managed to destroy a wall to an adjacent factory as well.

Owners of the lubricant plant refused to estimate the size of the loss.
