Two workers died and four were injured when a storage tank containing 30 tons of wine exploded and burned at a distillery site in western Armenia Tuesday afternoon, local media report.

It is unclear if the flames spread to another 490 tons of alcohol known to be on site.

The fire broke out at 12:20 p.m. at the Proshyan Wine and Brandy Factory in Armavir. Five emergency teams with the Ministry of Emergency Situations prevented the fire from spreading into an adjacent storage building or the distillery plant.

One hour after ignition firefighters declared the fire extinguished, Armenian News reports. No cause has been established.

The four surviving casualties were taken to the intensive care unit at Armavir Medical Center.
