Residents rush to the scene of a cleaning supplies factory fire Thursday in Brazil.

Fire broke out at a cleaning supplies factory Thursday in northern Brazil, local media report.

At about 12:20 p.m., residents of the Centro neighborhood in Ananindeua, Belem, stepped in to battle the fire until firefighters could arrive. Soon five firefighting vehicles and three rescue vehicles arrived.

Firefighters were able to quickly contain the blaze. No injuries were reported.
