Smoke filled a 1,400 square meter factory Friday morning in southeast central France specializing in machining plastic parts, local media report.
A remote alarm sent firefighters with SDIS 73 to the Applications Industrielles Rhone Alpes (AIRA) plant in Combaruches industrial zone in Aix-les-Baines. Smoke also spread into a neighboring 900 square meter warehouse owned by the Eiffage company.
Firefighters proceeded to ventilate the warehouses. By 7 a.m., the emergency was under control.
