A shelter-in-place order was issued Thursday afternoon for a fire that destroyed a plastics plant northeast of Austin, Texas, local media report.

At about 4:30 p.m., witnesses alerted the Weir Volunteer Fire Department to a fire at the CPI Products facility just south of Walburg in Williamson County. The company specializes in rotomolding, a manufacturing process that creates extremely rigid plastic products.

The volunteers arrived on scene at 5 p.m., KXAN News reports, too late to save the building involved.

The shelter-in-place order was dropped after 8:30 p.m. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

No injuries were reported.
