A battery factory operating on the ground floor of a residential building in Tehran, Iran, exploded Friday killing one person and injuring 10, local media report.

The blast damaged cars and buildings throughout the surrounding neighborhood.

Media reports state that the fatality was a worker at the factory while the 10 injured were residents in their apartments.

A series of fires and explosions have damaged military and industrial sites throughout Iran since June. The cause of Friday’s explosion has not been determined.
