An explosion at a packaging plant in Northern Ireland Monday night drew mutual aid assistance from surrounding brigades across the region, local media report.

At about 8 p.m., firefighters converged on the Almac plant in Craigavon. A steel drum containing chemicals had exploded inside the building.

Eight people working at the plant were safely evacuated. No injuries were reported.
