Firefighters spend 13 hours dealing with a massive auto parts plant fire that started Tuesday morning in eastern Ohio, local media report.

Shortly after 5 a.m., a machinery breakdown at Colfor Manufacturing plant in Malvern quickly escalated into a major emergency. Hydraulic fluid spraying from the broken machinery ignited, causing widespread damage to the plant interior, fire official state.

Workers on duty escaped the building with no injuries reported. Twenty-fire agencies, including 18 fire departments, responded from across the region.

Classes were cancelled by the local school district due to the lack of available water pressure in the town.

American Axle and Manufacturing, an automotive supplier specializing in drive train systems, recently acquired Colfor.
