A worker suffered severe burns Monday morning when an explosion ripped through an electronics recycling factory in western Australia.

Local media report that a second worker sustained minor burns as well. Both were transported to a nearby hospital in Malaga, north of Perth.

Fire broke out at around 9:30 a.m. with a series of blasts reported at the factory. Eight fire crews were immediately dispatched to the scene.

No cause has been determined for the fire. Responders were forced to split their attention between the fire and a seven-vehicle auto accident that occurred next door.
