An injured worker receives medical attention after a steam explosion Tuesday in India.

A steam pipe explosion Tuesday morning in eastern India seriously injured four workers at a chemical plant specializing in man-made fibers.

The explosion occurred at Grasim Industries in Berhampur, Ganjam district, local media report. All four of the injured were rushed to a local hospital with one later transferred to a hospital in Bhubaneswar.

Other plant workers staged a protest regarding a reported delay in the ambulance response to the scene.
