Fire destroyed 20 tons of polystyrene Tuesday afternoon during a fire at a Styrofoam manufacturing plant in South Korea.

The blaze also consumed hundreds of finished Styrofoam products, local media reported.

At about 1:32 p.m., flames broke out at the plant in Daegu, 227 kilometers southeast of Seoul. Within four minutes officials dispatched 125 emergency personnel and 50 emergency vehicles to the scene.

Firefighters contained the fire to one building and extinguished it in 35 minutes. Four workers escaped with no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
