A major mutual aid response from across southeastern Argentina converged on a burning factory specializing in chocolate Tuesday afternoon in what would be a 23-hour battle.

At about 2:30 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire in an industrial park in the Villa Maipu community of San Martin in the Greater Buenos Aires area, local media report. Flames spread through a warehouse at the chocolate factory.

Joining forces were firefighters from San Martin, Villa Ballester, Tres de Febrero, Hurlingham, Vicente Lopez and San Isidro. For at least nine hours of the operation more than 20 fire crews were on the scene.

Despite numerous evacuations, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
