
Towering smokes rises into the UAE skies Monday during a fire at at a wood factory.

Plastic foam and wood fueled a wood factory fire Monday morning in the northern region of the United Arab Emirates.
At 10:15 a.m., firefighters responded when the blaze broke out in one of the industrial districts found in Sharjah, part of the Dubai-Sharjah-Ajman metropolitan area, local media report. The burning factory cast a tower of smoke into the Sharjah skies.
No injuries were reported.
By 8 p.m., firefighters extinguished the fire and completed cooling operations. Investigators with the police are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
