Emergency personnel explore the debris left Wednesday after a textile factory explosion in India.

A massive explosion collapsed a chemical warehouse Wednesday at a cotton processing plant in western India, killing 12.

Fire officials report that a fire in the chemicals stored at the location triggered the blast, local media report. The explosion reduced the warehouse to rubble and damaged the adjacent textile factory.

The blast also damaged other nearby structures

All 12 bodies have been removed from the collapsed the warehouse.

Five of the deceased workers were women.
