Fire rampaged through a plastics factory closed Saturday morning for the Diwali holiday in western India.
No injuries were reported from the fire in Valsad, Gujarat, local media report. Thick smoke poured into the sky as fire spread the length of the plastics manufacturing unit.
Eight fire engines responded to the scene, bringing the fire under control.
Diwali, one of the major festivals celebrated by Hindus, is known for the extensive use of fireworks.
