IDEX Fire & Safety’s Hale Products and Akron Brass Contribute to Marion Body Works and Zeus Electric Chassis’ Zero-Emission Electric Vehicle for the Fire Market

IDEX Fire & Safety has partnered with Marion Body Works and Zeus Electric Chassis to create an innovative prototype vehicle for the fire market: a zero-emission electric vehicle (EV) paired with an emission-free waterflow system.

The EV truck prototype was displayed at the Marion Body Works booth at FDIC International August 5-7 at the Indiana Convention Center.

The battery system powering the Zeus truck also powers the IDEX flow control system upfit. The resulting fully electric truck represents a prime solution for municipal, urban, rural, and wildland operators seeking a complete alternative fuel vehicle.
